Iluminate XR (IXR)
Innovative Ed. Tech Company
At IXR I lead the design of immersive learning experiences that blend virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience to help people learn with clarity, confidence, and connection. We build virtual classrooms, training environments, and collaborative spaces where learning feels emotionally resonant and truly human.
As co-founder and co-CEO I help shape every part of the experience. From curriculum aligned to academic and industry standards to working with schools and organizations on strategic integration, I stay close to the work. Real change happens from the inside.
IXR is not about gadgets or trends. It is about learning that lasts, learning that reaches people, and learning that makes education feel possible again—for everyone.

TK-12 Educational Leadership
25 Years in Public Education
I’ve spent 25 years in public education, beginning in the classroom where I was named Teacher of the Year in 2011. I served in multiple administrative roles across TK–12 before co-founding and leading a California public school that redefined how learning can work for all students.
As CEO, I expanded Career Technical Education, Arts, and Athletics, while building a model centered on voice, choice, and belonging. Under my leadership, the school earned designation as a California Distinguished School, achieved a 98% teacher retention rate, and closed achievement gaps year over year for underserved students through proven, data-driven results.
I also co-created cutting edge professional development that redefines learning in this technological age—equipping educators to personalize instruction and integrate immersive tools like VR and AI to create powerful, future-ready experiences.

Consulting and Strategic Vision
Co-Creating Your Vision
My consulting work is built on 25 years of experience in public education and a track record of making bold decisions to do things differently when the traditional system fell short. I’ve led from the classroom, the boardroom, and the front lines of innovation, and I bring that full perspective to every partnership.
I work with school districts, education leaders, and organizations that are ready to reimagine what learning can be. Whether we’re designing curriculum, launching immersive programs, integrating new technologies, or rethinking systems altogether, I help turn vision into meaningful action.
Much of my work today is shaped by what I’ve built in my time in public education.I bring hands-on experience in virtual reality, AI, and learner-centered design, always anchored in what works for real students and educators. If you're ready to create something future-ready, I’d love to collaborate.

Video Highlights
This clip is from my time on The Round Up with Melissa Bill. I shared why teachers will always be essential and why no form of AI can replace the heart of a real educator. You can see the full episode at the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uo5-1WbuDc
When a student shares an idea, it opens the door to real learning. A skateboard can lead to planning, budgeting, writing, interviewing, math, and meaningful connection. Instead of forcing ideas into standards, I learned to let the student’s spark lead and build the learning around it.
