By the end of a long day of leading, my brain doesn’t just power down. Even working from home, it’s hard to leave it behind when your office is a few steps away.

Most nights, my reset starts on the left front burner. A splash of olive oil and garlic in the pan. That first sizzle pulls me out of my head and back into the moment. You can’t rush a good sear, and you can’t fake focus in the kitchen. It asks you to slow down and pay attention.
